Michael Lanier drives the #71 Charger Class car.  His home track is Carolina Speedway-Lakeview, but he can also be found racing at Dublin Speedway and Hammerdown Speedway.  He lives in Riegelwood, NC.

Michael started racing in 2004 in the Charger Class at Carolina Speedway-Lakeview as a life long dream.  His first win was in '08 in the Charger Class at Carolina Speedway-Lakeview.  Career highlights include finishing 5th in Points in Carolina Speedway in the Charger Class in '04 and his wins.

The thrill of racing for Michael is the adrenaline rush and rubbing wheel to wheel!  His most exciting racing moment was his first win!  He's most proud that his family is with him every time he races.

Michael's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
