Michael Thompson drives the #9 Charger Class car.  He lives in Myrtle Beach, SC.  His home track is Carolina Speedway.

Michael's #9 car is the blue, green and black Chevy - RAPN Race Engines.

He started racing in 1994 in the Go Karts Class at 4 Way Kartway because it was in his blood.......both sides of his family raced.  His first win was in 1994 in the Super Heavy class at 4 Way Kartway.  He had 50 Go Kart wins.

The thrill of racing for Michael is controlling something out of control.  His greatest racing thrill was taking that first checkered flag.  The greatest racing moment was pulling his first race car through the gate.

Bill Elliott is Michael's racing hero.

Of racing, Michael says, "I'm not here to make friends, I brought mine with me!".
