Billy is from Inman SC. Cherokee speedway is his home track but he races at Harris speedway,  Riverside Speedway, and Metrolina.  He began racing in 1961 in a Late Model at Harris Speedway.  His brother-in-law liked racing so we started our own race team. They had a 1951 flat head Ford.  he got his first win in 1962 in a Late model at Harris.

Billy won the $10.000 to win three times in a row at Volusia Speedway park in Florida. 2000, 2001, 2002. He has won many track championships not only at Cherokee but at several tracks in the area.  In 2001 he went to Volusia and won the Hobby stock 100 for the second time in a row.

Billy loves the kids and enjoys winning and seeing all the people that pull for me have a great time.  His greatest racing thrill is all his wins.  His greatest racing accomplishment is racing 40+ years and still being competitive and still racing.
