Monty is from Jonesville SC.  Buffalo speedway is his home track.   He began racing in 1992 because he loves racing.  His first win was in 1992 in Buffalo, SC in the Stock 4 class.

He won the World Crown 4 cyl National Championship in a street stock 4 at Cherokee.

The thrill of racing for Monty is winning.  He once one 7 in a row at Buffalo. His greatest racing thrill was His first ever  Cherokee Speedway win at the Blue Gray 100 in 2001
