He began racing in 1986 in Go Karts at 2-Flags because of his family business, Dover Power Racing Engines. His first win was at 2-Flags in 1986 in Rookie Class. Career highlights include, 2 time NC State Champion 1992-1993, 2 time SC Champion 1991-1992, 4 time Georgia State Champion, and 3 time National Dirt Champion 1991-1993 and 1994.

The thrill of racing for him is winning. His most exciting racing moment was winning the State Championships. He is most proud of his parents, Jerry and Libby Dover, and his wife, Sabrina Dover.

Britt's racing hero is Ernie Irvan.
