Kurt Owens drives the #7up Super Stock Class car.  His home track is where the money is!  He lives in Newport, TN.

Kurt started racing in 1980 in the Bomber Class at Rogersville, TN. after helping a neighbor when he was 14.  His first win was in 1984 in the Bomber Class at Newport Raceway.  Career highlights include winning over 200 races, racing about every kind of car you can race and Track Championship at Volunteer Speedway in Open Wheel Modified and at Newport Speedway in Super Stock.

The thrill of racing for Kurt is his love of having fun.  His most exciting racing moment was driving Busch Grand National car.  He's most proud that they can still do it and run good.

Kurt's racing hero is anyone who doesn't whine and cry.

Of racing, Kurt says, "There is nothing like it no doubt.  You can make a small fortune if you start out with a big one!".
