John Paul Chapman

John Paul Chapman drives the #8 Street Stock 4 car.  He lives in Greer, SC.  His home track is Riverside but he can also be found racing at Cherokee Speedway and Travelers Rest.  

John's #8 car is the red, black and yellow Ford 2340.

He started racing in 1999 in the Stock 4 - B class at Suger Creek and Riveside.  It started as a hobby, doing something with Dad.   His first win was in 2000 in the Street Stock class at Riverside.  John was the Street Stock 4 Shrine 8 Ace at Windy Hill in 2001.  Finished 4th at Gaffney.

The thrill of racing for John is the competition.   John is most proud of where we're at.....we've done it our way with a few good friends!  We never had any sponsors, although  my cousin Hunter Smalley of C & H Ind. Services did help some a couple of years ago and we thank him for that.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is John's racing hero.

Of racing, John says, "That's racing!  You never know what to expect, but I love it!"
