James races out of Cowpens SC.  Cherokee is his home track. He also races Thunder Valley and  Sugar Creek.

James Began racing in 1990 in a stock 4 at Cherokee. He started for a hobby. He got his first win in a stock 4 at Cherokee in 1997. In 2002 he won the July  4th race.

The thrill of racing for James is the speed. He is most proud of the friendships he has made over the years.

Davy Johnson is his racing hero.
