Jimmy races out of Gray Court SC. He started racing in 1969 in a Cadet at Golden Strip Speedway. He enjoyed watching as a kid and wanted to go fast. He got his first win in 1970 at Golden Strip Speedway in the cadet class. 

Jimmy won the track championship at Golden Strip in 1981 in open competition late models, in 1984 at I-85  in a late model and again at Chester Speedway in 1997.

The speed and power are the thrill of racing Jimmy. His greatest racing thrill was the  first late model race he ever ran. He has been racing for 33 years and "I am not in the poor house , yet!" and that is a great accomplishment.

Jimmy plans to run Late Models and sprints for a couple of years then help some young people get started.

Floyd Powell was his favorite driver.
