Scott Shirey

Scott is from Swansea SC. His home track is I-20 and he also races at  Sumter Speedway. he began his racing career at New Columbia Speedway in a hobby car in 1993. His dad had raced and he loved it.  He got his first win in 1994 in a  hobby at the same track.

In 1996 he won the I 20 track championship in a Hobby. In 99 he ran 12 races at Sumter Speedway and won 8 of them. In 2001 he won a race at Sumter.

The speed and the challenge and working on the car is the thrill of racing for Scott.  His greatest racing thrill was lapping every one but the second and third place car. Making it to late models ranks as his greatest racing accomplishment.

Scott wants to travel some and win a Series Championship.

His dad Earl Shirey is his racing hero.
