Ray Kemmerlin

Ray is from Darlington, SC.  He began dragging in the Pro class in 1990 at the Darlington Dragway because it's a family tradition.

He celebrated his first win in 1991 in the Pro class at the Darlington Dragway and went on to win the track championship in 1994.

The thrill of racing for Ray is "the speed and the smell of the fumes."  His most exhilarating moment came when he almost hit the wall, and when he wins "of course".

He is most proud of rebuilding his '69 Firebird.

His racing hero is John Force.

He can be heard around the track saying:  "You gotta be a redneck with some money" and "It's fun you ought to try it!"
