Walter Merchant

Walter lives in Lake View, SC.  He started racing in 1980 in the S&P class in 710, Thunder Valley to get out of street racing.

He celebrated his first win in 2001 in the Pro class at 710.

The thrill of racing for him is "the 1/8 of a mile rush!"  His most exhilarating racing moment was when he left the line for the very first time.

His racing hero is John Force.

Walter says that racing is "a good way to have fun and meet wonderful people."
