Chris Tuten
Chris lives in Pelion, SC. He
started racing in 1991 at the Orangeburg track because it just seemed
natural for him to race.
He celebrated his first win at the 710
Dragstrip in the Limited Outlaw Class. In April 2003 he won his
class race qualifying first, setting the record, and winning the race!
Chris says this about the thrill of
racing: "It is a passion; if you have it you know what I'm
talking about." His most exhilarating racing moments came when
he won a lot of grudge races and his first class win in 2003.
Chris is most proud of the fact that he
and his team "try to work harder than anyone else."
His racing hero is Warren Johnson.
He can often be heard saying that racing
is "the funnest, hardest, and most trying thing you will ever
do."
