Mike is from McBee. Florence Motor Speedway is his home track.  He began racing in 1999 in a stock at Florence. His dad had raced all his life and he just loved racing.  He got his first win at Florence his rookie year.

Mike and 6 wins in his first 3 years and in 2001 was 3rd in the points.

The thrill of racing and his greatest racing thrill was his first win in a completely stock race with only 3 tires on the last lap. His greatest racing moment was the last lap of his first win when he passed 6 cars on the last lap.

Larry Caddell is his racing hero.
