Donnie Johnson drives the #29 Late Model car.  His home track is Florence Motor Speedway.  He lives in Sumter, SC. Donnie started racing  in the young guns division at Florence Motor Speedway. He was only 10 years old.

Donnie started racing in 2006 in the Young Guns Class at Florence Motor Speedway to be like his Daddy and Granddaddy, Danny & Lee Johnson.  Donnie is a third generation driver.  Career highlights include his first race on June 2, 2006 where he finished 2nd. Donnie won his first race Aug 19, 2006 in  the Young Guns class at Florence Motor Speedway. He got 4 wins and 7 2nds in 2006 . In 2007 Donnie raced a few races in the 4 cyl. class at FMS.

At the start of 2009 Donnie joined the late model drivers at FMS.  Donnie does all the work on the car.

Team members helping Donnie are:  Danny, Tammy & D J Johnson, Tom, Janet & Danny Efland,  Jr. Player,  Ed Gibbons .  Danny & Tammy Johnson are the car owners.

The thrill of racing for Donnie is the speed.  "Its Fun!" His most exciting racing moment his first win and going 3 wide down the backstreach.  He's most proud of 4 wins and 7 seconds in his Rookie year.

Donnie's racing heroes are his Daddy, Danny Johnson, his Grandpa Lee, and Danny Efland.

Of racing, Donnie says,  My motto is "If you think it is so easy try it!...."It is easy watching...anyone can do that, but strap in and watch how hard it is!".
