Chris McDonald drives the #97 Thunder & Lightning Class car.  His home track is Florence Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Myrtle Beach Speedway.  He lives in Hartsville, SC.

Team members helping Chris are:  Rebakah McDonald, Gene McDonald, Bryan Crowley.  Buddy Walters is the car owner.

Chris started racing in 2005 in the Thunder & Lightning Class at Florence Motor Speedway because he enjoyed it.  Career highlights include finishing 3rd in the Points Championship his Rookie Year of 2005.

The thrill of racing for Chris is his love of being on the edge.  His most exciting racing moment was his 2005 racing season.  He's most proud of finishing in 3rd in the Points Championship in 2005.

Chris's racing hero is Rudy Branham.
