Roy races late models out of Timmonsville SC. Florence Motor Speedway is his home track. He also races at Myrtle Beach Speedway.  He started racing in 1993 in a street stock at Florence. He got his first win his rookie year at FMS. Ray started because it runs in the family.

He was the 2000 Florence Motor Speedway late model Champion.

Winning races is the thrill of racing for Roy.  His greatest racing thrill and the thing he is most proud of is winning the championship.
