Curtis is from Sumter SC. His home track is Florence Motor Speedway. Curtis was a rookie in 2002. He first drove at FMS in the  T&L class.  He got his first win his 7th race in his rookie year. He began racing for the competition.

The thrill of racing for Curtis is when every thing comes together. He is most proud of his first win,

All the Winston cup drivers are his heroes.
