Joel Cox drives the #35 Charger. He lives in Greenville, SC. His home track is Greenville Pickens Speedway.

Crew members and others who have helped include, Jerry Cox, Vince Quinn, Tim Sams and Josh Sams. Car owner is Gaston Cox.

He began racing in 1984 at Fountain Inn to keep racing off of the highway. His first win was  at Greenville Pickens in Charger Class in 2000. Career highlights include, Thunder and lightening in 1989 at I-95 Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Joel is hearing the fans cheer when you win. He is most proud of  being with his Dad every weekend.  His most exciting racing moment was winning Points Championship at I-85 Speedway.

Joel's racing heroes are Butch Lindley, Jeff Haukias and Bill Elliott.

Of racing, Joel says, "It brings your family together, and fans wanting to know what it is all about".
