Josh Sams lives in Greenville, S.C. His
home track is Greensville Pickens Speedway but he can also be found racing
at Anderson Motor Speedway.
He began racing in 2003 in charger Class
at Greenville Pickens Speedway, because it had always been a dream
of his since he was a kid. His first win was in 2003 at Greenville Pickens
in Charger Class.
Career highlight includes 2nd Place in
Points in his second year of racing and Fan Favorite in his Division
His most exciting racing
moments were when he raced with his dad, "My first time I lead any laps at
Anderson, me and my dad were in the same race and I raced him on the
outside for about 3 laps when he caught me". Also his first win,
"because the clutch rod came off and we had a red flag and it was my 9th
race, so me being a rookie I had never been in that situation before, I
had to get pushed off for the restart but I managed to pass the leader
with 3 laps to go."
The thrills of racing for Josh are the
competition, the rush he gets when the green flag drops, and Most of all
the thrill of winning. Hw is most proud of his 2nd Place in Points
in 2004 and the Fan Favorite in his Division.
