Ray Spearman
#89
Ray Spearman drives the #89 Late Model
Class car. He lives in Piedmont, SC. His home track is
Greenville Pickens Speedway but he can also be found racing at Anderson
Motor Speedway.
He started racing in 1997 in the Late
Model Class at Anderson Motor Speedway because it was something he loved
doing. Ray is a handicapped driver with an artificial leg. His
dream is to be the 1st NASCAR handicapped driver!
The thrill of racing for Ray is the speed
and doing something he enjoys. His most exhilarating racing moment
is to finish the race with no problems. He's most proud of being a
handicapped driver, showing other people that you can still reach for your
dreams and still be able to do what you want to do!
Dale Earnhardt Sr. is Ray's racing hero.
NASCAR retired #3 on Ray's birthday.
Of racing, Ray says, "It's fun but it
costs a lot of money. It takes good sponsorship to be able to race
and win.....SPONSORS NEEDED!!
