Michael Sboro drives the #17 Legend Pro
Class car. He lives in Mooresville, NC. His home track is
Hickory Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lowe's Motor
Speedway and Hardeeville Motor Speedway.
He started racing in 1996 in the Go-Karts
at Can-Am Speedway for the love of sport and a family venture. His
first win was that same year. Career highlights include: 2nd
place in Bandolero National's in 2000 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, 100+
Go-Kart wins, Can-Am Track Champion 1997 & 1998, WKA National Payment
Series 5th place in 1999, 25 Bandolero wins, Evans Mill's Speedway Track
Champion 2000 Bandolero Division, NY State Semi Pro Legend Champion in
2001, NY State Pro Champion Legend Pro Division 2002.
Michael is moving up to race in the USAC
Ford Focus Midget Series for the 2004 season and is looking for a sponsor!
The thrill of racing for Michael is the
speed! His most exciting racing moment was his first win in Legends
at the age of 13. He's most proud of his Championships in Go-Karts
and Bandoleros and the 2002 New York State Championship in the Pro
Division and the 2001 Semi Pro Championship in NY State.
Dale Earnhardt Sr. is Michael's racing
hero.
Of racing, Michael says, "Everyone who
says it's boring doesn't know what they're talking about until they
actually do it!".
