Michael Pope

Michael Pope drives the #18 Semi Pro Legends Class car.  He lives in Dublin, GA.  His home track is Cordele Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lanier National Speedway, Anderson Motor Speedway, Hardeeville Motor Speedway and Senoia Speedway.

He started racing in 1998 in the Go-Kart Class at Center Raceway in Lyons, GA because the family has always been involved in racing of some kind.  His first win was that same year at McRae, GA.  Career highlights include 4th place finish in Thanksgiving Thunder National Race in Carnesville, GA in 2000 and he's currently tied for Young Lions State Championship for GA.

The thrill of racing for Michael is getting to drive fast!  His most exciting racing moment was getting his Legend car and placing 2nd at Hardeeville Motor Speedway.  He's most proud of being together with his family and meeting so many new people.
