Richard Smith drives the #00 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Science Hill, KY.  His home track is Richmond Raceway but he can also be found racing at Scenic Raceway.

He started racing in 1979 in the Late Model Class at Campbellsville Speedway as a second generation driver.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include Richmond Speedway Track Champion 1992 & 1996, Lake Cumberland Speedway Track Champ 1988, Battle of Bluegrass Semi 5th in Points in 2002.

The thrill of racing for Richard is the passion.  All racing moments are the most exciting for Richard.  He's most proud of the dedication he puts into it. 

Richard's racing hero is Fats Coffey.

Of racing, Richard says, "It's a sport for my whole family and a drug free environment for my kids, Rachel & Cody!".
