JC Counts
#5
JC Counts drives the #5 4cyl. Class
car. JC lives in Newberry, SC. His home track is I-20 Speedway.
He started racing in 2002 in the Rookie 4
Class at Laurens Speedway. JC says he started
racing because, "My father and uncle used to and my cousin does,
it's what I was born to do." "It felt like the right thing to do
at the time. " JC got his first win May the 10th 2003 at
Laurens Speedway in the Stock 4 Class.
The thrill of racing for JC is a pure love
of the sport, " It's the greatest feeling in the world to me no
matter what I'm driving! Layin the pedal down and goin as fast as I can
around the track."
His most exhilarating racing
moment was hitting the wall head on at 65 mph. It was just his 2nd
race. The car was almost a total loss but he did manage to save the
car.
He's most proud of his Dad for supporting him and doing
this for him. His family and friends are so supportive to him and
that is what JC is most proud of.
