Roger Lucas drives the #79 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Benson, NC.  His home track is County Line Raceway but he can also be found racing at Cherokee Super Speedway and Fayetteville Motor Sports Park.

He started racing in 1987 in the Late Model Class at Wake County Speedway because his father always had race cars and after he stopped playing other sports, this became his only sport.  His first win was in 1990 in the Late Model Class at County Line Raceway.  He was the Track Champion at County Line Raceway.

The thrill of racing for Roger is the competition, the fans and the competitors. His most exciting racing moment was winning a couple of All Pro Road to Charlotte races.  He's most proud of always building his own engines and most of the car.

Roger's racing hero is Bill Elliott.
