Joey Derby drives the #8 Super Street Stock Class car.  His home track is I-20 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Gordon Park Raceway and Modoc Speedway.  He lives in Lexington, SC.

Team members helping Joey are:  Andy Derby, Charlie Potter, Jay Fletcher, Mariah Derby, Blake Derby and Cale Derby.

Joey started racing in 2005 in the Super Street Stock Class at I-20 Speedway because he loves competition and going fast. 

The thrill of racing for Joey is barrelling into turn 1 and seeing what happens.  His most exciting racing moment was having his first flip in '06.  He's most proud of working on his car and setting up his car and improving every week.

Joey's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Joey says, "Dirt track racing is much more exciting than NASCAR.  This is as real as it gets!".
