Monk Gulledge drives the #1 Hobby Class car.  He lives in Batesburg, SC.  His home track is I-20 Speedway.

Monk's #1 car is the purple and yellow 2003 Monte Carlo.

He started racing in 1987 in the Street Stock Class at Thunder Valley because he loves it and have been around it all his life.  His first win was in 1988 in the Street Stock Class.  Monk was the Track Champ is 1988.  He drove Nascar's Goody's Dash in 1995 and 1996.

The thrill of racing for Monk is winning!  He's most proud of winning!

Monk's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
