Chris Usry

Chris Usry drives the #42 Late Model Class car.  He lives in Grovetown, GA.  His home track is I-20 Speedway.

Chris's #42 car is the red, yellow, green, pink, purple and blue Chevy.

He started racing in 1986 in the Hobby Class at Modoc SC because he raced Go-Karts as a kid.  His first win was in 1986 in the Hobby Class.  His career highlights include Super Street 1995 Alabama State Champion, 100 Lap Event in Savannah GA and 1998 National Late Model Champion.

The thrill of racing for Chris is working on the cars and trying to figure them out.  He's most proud that he's able to ride with some real good people.

Chris's racing hero is his son, in Go-Karts, C.J. Usry!

Chris can be heard saying of racing, "The car will be ready 5 minutes before race time!".
