James Hightower drives the #88 Stock V-8 Class car.  He lives in Monetta, SC.  James's home track is I-20 Speedway.

James's #88 car is the Red, White and Blue 1975 Chevy Nova.

He started racing in 1999 in the Stock V-8 Class at I-20 because he was offered a car to drive.  He liked it and still does!  His first win was in 2001 in the Stock V-8 Class.  James has finished 2nd in the points twice and 4th in the points once.  He's had two main event wins in 2001 and 2002.

The thrill of racing for James is going fast, competition and having a good time!  He's most proud that there are several family members racing with him in the same class, including his Dad (#77), his brother (#99), his brother (#62) and his brother-in-law (#11A).

Dale Jarrett is his racing hero.

James says, "I can't get enough....Nascar, dirt track, etc.!".
