Darrel McLaughlin drives the #08 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is I-77 Speedway.  He lives in Belmont, NC.  People who help Darrel are:  Tracy McLaughlin, Rick Greene, Evert Kepner, Kevin McLaughlin, Greg Oliver, Calob McLaughlin and Ricky Greene. 

He started racing in 1993 in the Stock 4 Class at Carolina Speedway and Chester Speedway because his brother raced.  Darrel started going with him and then started racing.  His first win was in 1994 in the Mod 4 Class at Chester Speedway.  Career highlights include 1994 Mod 4 Points Champion.

The thrill of racing for Darrel is winning with a car built with his crew.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win.  He's most proud of as a team, have good cars and have lots of fun at the track.

Darrel's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
