Shorty Lacey drives the #38 Pure Street Stock Class car.  His home track is I-77 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Lancaster Speedway and Cherokee Super Speedway.  He lives in York, SC.  People who help Shorty are:  John, David, Rusty, Jeff, and the Miller crew.

He started racing in 1986 in the Pure Street Stock Class at I-77 Speedway as it was passed on from his father.  His first win was that same year at Lancaster Motor Speedway.  Career highlights include 1991 Points Champion in Stock 4 at Carolina Speedway, 1991 Points Champion in Modified 4 at Metrolina and $10,000 Shoot Out in Florida in 1992.

The thrill of racing for Shorty is winning while putting on a show for the fans.  His most exciting racing moment was the $10,000 Shoot Out in Florida. 

Shorty's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
