Ricky Taylor

Ricky Taylor drives the #78 Street Stock Class car.  He lives in Lancaster, SC.  His home track is I-77 Speedway but he can also be found racing at Carolina Speedway. 

Team members helping Ricky are:  Wayne Taylor, Rodney Bone, Jason Scarborough, Jason Clinton, Shannon Taylor, Robbie Helms and Donnie Snipes. 

Ricky started racing in 1988 in the Street Stock Class at Lancaster Speedway because it is a family tradition.  His first win was in 1989 in the Street Stock Class at Chester Speedway.  Highlights include in 1998 he was the Lancaster Speedway Street Stock Point Champion and the Red Rose City Championship Race winner at Lancaster.  In 1991 he won the Budweiser 100 Race at Carolina Speedway.  He's had two wins so far in 2005.

The thrill of racing for Ricky is beating them with less.  He's most proud of racing for years with less and being successful at it!

Darryl Waltrip is Ricky's racing hero.
