Dexter Matthews drives the #M19 Crate Late Model Class car.  His home track is I-77 Speedway.  He lives in Batesburg, SC.

His family helps him on his car.

Dexter started racing in 1992 in the Pure Stock Class at I-20 Speedway because a friend had one.  His first win was in 1993 in  the Pure Stock  Class at Sugar Creek Speedway. 

His most exciting racing moment was his first and only win.  He's most  proud of paying for all of it myself.

Dexter's racing hero is Scott Bloomquist.

Of racing, Dexter says, "It's fun!".
