Brian "Cory" Lambert
#21L
Brian "Cory" Lambert drives the #21L Stock
4 Class car. His home track is Lancaster Speedway but he can also
be found racing at Carolina Speedway. He lives in Monroe, NC.
Team members helping Cory are: Mom
- LouAnn, Dad - Brian, Matt - brother, Larissa - sister, Donald Moore,
Laura Quaram and Robert Mullis. Brian and LouAnn Lambert are the
car owners.
Cory started racing in 2008 in the Stock
4 Class at Lancaster Speedway because he's been going since before he
could walk in Ohio, moved to NC, got tired of commenting from the
grandstands, so decided to race it instead of talk it. Career
highlights include just being able to pull the car in the garage on
Sunday having gained one more night of experience. If the car is
in one piece, that makes for an even better week.
The thrill of racing for Cory is being
able to get out of the stands and on the track to actually race.
There are no words to describe it! His most exciting racing moment
was his next time racing after burying the car in the turn 4 wall at
Lancaster Speedway; he kept it straight, finished on the lead lap and
trailered up in one piece. He overcame his jitters and just put
trust in the car. He's most proud that this entire venture is
steeped in family. As spectators and now as drivers and crew
they're all behind this and it keeps them close. Without racing,
they would not be the family that they are today.
Cory's racing heroes are his Dad and
Robert Mullins, two men that have illustrated the love of family and
racing.
Of racing, Cory says, "Yes, it's just
cars going in circles. Yes, it's loud and dirty. No, we
don't make money off of it. However, it's a little more
complicated. It's a love, a feeling and a history. That's
why we do it!".
