M.Wayne Kersey
#38
Wayne Kersey drives the #38 Street Stock
Class car. He lives in Lancaster, SC. His home track is
Lancaster Speedway. Ricky's #38 car is the red and white Monte
Carlo.
Wayne started racing in 1975 in the Hobby
Division at Lancaster Speedway out of the love of working with cars,
his interest in racing and having something fun and extra to do! His
first win was in 1975 in the Hobby Division. Highlights include in
1985 winning the Budweiser 50 in the Hobby Class and the same year winning
the State Championship plus 8 other 1st place wins!
The thrill of racing for Wayne is just
getting on track and being competitive with my friends. He's most
proud of having the opportunity to meet so many people. Also, he
feels he's accomplished something that many people are not fortunate
enough to do.
Mike Duvall is Wayne's racing hero.
Of racing, Wayne says, "It's a family
sport. It separates the men from the boys. It's a lot of excitement!".
