James Kirk lives in Lancaster, S.C. His
home track is Lancaster but he can also be found racing at I-77.
He began racing in 1982 in Street Stock
Class at Lancaster because he was following a friend, Joe Johnson and
helping him and just had to try it. his first win was in 1997 at Lancaster
in Street Stock. Career highlights include, 2000 Championship I-77-Street
Stock and 9 Races in a row.
The thrill of racing for him is the speed.
His most exciting racing moment was when he rolled five times in turn 3 at
Lancaster. He is most proud the he did something that everyone said
he couldn't do.
His racing hero is Joe Johnson.
