Larry Smith drives the #12 Cadet Class car.  He lives in Gray Court, SC.  His home track is Laurens Speedway.

Larry's #12 car is the black and apple green roll cage Chevy Monte Carlo.

He started racing in 1980 in the Hobby/Cadet Class at Laurens Speedway because he's always loved it!  His first win was in 1995 in the Cadet Class at Laurens Speedway.  Career highlights include;  17th Annual Shine Race  in 1998, Alvin Nabors Memorial in 2000 and James Burnett Memorial in 2000.

The thrill of racing for Larry is speed, speed and more speed!  His most exhilarating racing moment was winning the Shriner's Race while out running a guy from Georgia!  He's most proud that his son, Michael, is following in his footsteps.
