David Stone drives the #78 Hobby Class car.  David lives in Gray Court, SC.  His home track is Laurens County Speedway.

David started racing in 1997 in the Hobby Class at Laurens County Speedway to carry on family tradition.  His first win was in 2000 at Laurens in the Hobby Class.

His career highlights include winning 2nd race on Mother's Day weekend 2002, 4th in Points last season, and current Points leader in the Hobby Class at Laurens.

The thrill of racing for David is the adrenaline rush!  His most exhilarating racing moment was that first win, but then you find out what it means to lose.  He's most proud of having his family and friends with him every week and showing everyone that they can do it and do it well!

David's racing hero is his father, James Alvin Stone Jr. Aka: # 72 Junior Stone.
