Roger Pate

Roger Pate drives the Super Late Model Class car.  He lives in Inman, SC.  His home track is Cherokee Speedway but he can also be found racing at Laurens County Speedway.

He started racing in 1988 in the Baby Bomber Class at I-85 Speedway because it cost to much to run Go-Karts.  His first win was in 1988 in the Baby Bomber Class at Cherokee Speedway.  In 1998 and 1999 Roger was the Track Champion at Cherokee Speedway in Thunder & Lightning.

The thrill of racing for Roger is the fans and the speed.  He's most proud of being able to meet new people and work with a fine crew that's willing to help him.

Dale Earnhardt is Roger's racing hero.

Of racing, Roger says, "If you ever get a chance to race, go for it!".
