Michael McKinnon

Michael McKinnon drives the #18 Mini-Stock Class car.  He lives in Myrtle Beach Speedway.  His home track is Myrtle Beach Speedway but he can also be found racing at Oxford Plain Speedway.

He started racing in 2003 in the Mini Stock Class at Myrtle Beach Speedway because his father used to race and Michael wanted to try.  Highlights in racing so far for Michael are completing races and getting experience. 

The thrill of racing for Michael is the close racing.  His most exciting racing moment was just missing a crash in front of me.  He's most proud of slowly getting better as he races more.

Michael's racing hero is Michael Waltrip.

Of racing, Michael says, "It's not as easy as they think!".
