Doug Smith drives the #0 Stock 8 Class car.  He lives in Greer, SC.  His home track is Riverside Speedway but he can also be found racing at Harris, Lonedale and Buffalo.

Doug's #0 car is the blue Chevy.

He started racing in 1973 in the Cadet Class at Speedway Park.  In '76 he raced at Riverside in the first race the track had.  His first win was in 1976 in the Cadet Class at Riverside.  

The thrill of racing for Doug is to be up front and have a good time.  The most exhilarating racing moment for Doug is winning!   He's most proud of having all his family helping and being together.

Richard Petty and Freddy Smith are Doug's racing heroes.

Of racing Doug says, "Give it a try and it ain't as easy as you think!".
