Mart Patterson drives the #2 Thunder & Lightning Class car.  He lives in Clinton, SC.  His home track is Riverside Speedway but he can also be found racing at Laurens Speedway.

Mart's #2 car is the yellow and red Chevy, Patterson In House Chassis, 355 ci by Coleman.

He started racing in 1990 in the Hobbie Class at Laurens Speedway because his father raced.  His first win was in 1990 in the Hobbie Class at Laurens.  Career highlights 16 wins at Laurens and 1 win at Greenville Pickens in Late Model Class.

The thrill of racing for Mart is the competition.  His most exhilarating racing moment was winning at Greenville Pickens.  Mart is most proud that he builds his own cars and they win!

Mart's Dad, Haskell Patterson,  is his racing hero.

Of racing, Mart says, "It's fun but costs a lot of money!".
