Will McGrew

Will McGrew drives the #44 Super Stock 4 Class car.  His home track is Travelers Rest Speedway but he can also be found racing at Harris Speedway and Cherokee Super Speedway.  He lives in Travelers Rest, SC.

Will started racing at the age of twelve in the Go Kart Class at Speedway Park because his father raced for years.  His first win was in 1972 in the 4 Cyl Class at Speedway Park.  Career highlights include:  1979 2nd in Points at Gville Pickens, 1980 won Hobby Track Championship, set track record of 11 straight wins, 15 out of 23 for the year, 20 year track record broke, 1989 $10,000 Race Street Stock World Championship Tri City Motor Speedway, 100-150 wins.

The thrill of racing for Will is winning and being competitive.  He's most proud of raising two good boys winning races and a racing daughter next year.

David Pearson and Bill Elliott are Will's racing heroes.
