Scott Childress drives the #44 Modified 4 Class car.  He lives in Greenville, SC.  His home track is Riverside Speedway but he can also be found racing at Gaffney and Thunder Valley.

Scott's #44 car is the black and orange Ford with Johnson Engine.

He started racing in 1997 in the Mod 4 Class at Riverside because his Dad did it!  His first win was in 1998 in the Mod 4 Class at Gaffney.  Career highlights include World 4 Champion in 2002 in Modified 4, National 4 Champion in 2002 in Modified 4 and Mini Madness Champion in 2002 in Modified 4.

The thrill of racing for Scott is the competitiveness.  His most exhilarating racing experience was totaling his Late Model car.  

Earl Pearson Jr and Farmer Barber are Scott's racing heroes.
