Newman Presnell drives the #48 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Riverside Speedway but he can also be found racing at Travelers Rest Motor Speedway.  He lives in Travelers Rest, SC.

Team members helping Newman are:  Dad - David Presnell, Dennis Gillenwater, Michael Timmons, David Timmons, Matt Poteet, Josh Presnell.  David Presnell is the car owner.

Newman started racing in 2005 in the Young Guns Class at Riverside Speedway because he grew up around racing and has always wanted to race.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include his first win during his 4th race.  He went on to win 11 more and the Points Championship at Travelers Rest Speedway.  He ran 5 times and won 4 of the races.

The thrill of racing for Newman is trying to get to the front and lead the whole race.  His most exciting racing moment was having to start in the rear and come back to win.  He's most proud of becoming the 2005 Riverside Speedway Champion in just his first year and winning 15 times.

Newman's racing hero is David Presnell.

Of racing, Newman says, "Racing is a very fun sport.  If we could get a lot more people at the dirt tracks in the South, we could keep our tracks and not let people buy them out!".
