William Young

William Young drives the #4 Renegade Class car.  He lives in Pelzer, SC.  His home track is Riverside Speedway but he can also be found racing at Cherokee Speedway and Lavonia.

William's #4 car is the white and red Chevy Malibu.

He started racing in 1984 in the Thunder & Lightning Class at Cherokee Speedway as it had always been his dream.  His first win was in 1993 in the Stock 8 Class at Riverside Speedway.  Career highlights include 13 wins in '93, 7 wins in '94, 3rd, 2nd and 5th in Points in '92, '93 & '94.  Total of 27 career wins!

The thrill of racing for William is the adrenalin rush.  His most exhilarating racing moment was when Geoff Hart of W4FF TV drove his car in a grudge race.  He's most proud of the fact that he has been competitive while being a clean driver and respected competitor.

Dale Earnhardt Sr. is William's racing hero.
