Doug races out of Ladson SC. His home track is Summerville Speedway. He began racing in 1992 in a mod 4 for the fun of it. The first track he ran on was Summerville  Speedway.  He got his first win in 1995 in a 4cyl mod at Summerville.

Doug has crewed for All Pro driver Bobby Hamilton, and drove for someone else.

The thrill of racing for  Doug is the people you meet racing.  His greatest racing thrill was starting 23 rd and winning the race.

Mark Martin is his racing hero.
