Banjo Duke
#00
Banjo Duke drives the#11 Thunder &
Lightning Class
car. He lives in Manning, SC. His home track is Sumter
Speedway, but he can also be found racing at I-20 Speedway.
He started racing in 1995 in the Go-Kart
Class cars at the age of 8 and moved up to race cars in 2001 at the age of
14 in the Mini Stock Class at Sumter Speedway because Ed Gibbons got me
started in racing in 1995 when he let Banjo drive his son's Go-Kart and
Banjo has loved it ever since that time. His first win in Mini Stock
was in 2001. Career highlights include winning the 1997 WKA State
Championship, winning 25 races before turning 18 and 2003 Sumter Speedway
Track Champion.
The thrill of racing for Banjo is
everything that involves racing. His greatest racing thrill was
passing on the last lap to win. He's most proud of winning 26 races
in cars before turning 18 years of age.
Bobby Labonte and Fireball Roberts are
Banjo's racing heroes.
Of racing, Banjo says, "Never give up!".
