Daren Griffinlives in Blythewood, SC.  Daren's Home Track is Sumter Speedway but he can also be found racing at I-20, I-85, Cherokee, Lakeview, Fayetteville, and Timmonsville.

He started racing in 1989 in the Hobby/Super Stock Class at Sumter Speedway, "for the thrill".  His first win was in 1989 in Super Stock.  In 2001 Daren had two wins.  In 1990 and 1991 he was the Track Champ in Super Stock and in 1995 he was the Late Model Champion.

The thrill of racing for Daren is the competition.  His greatest racing moment was placing 3rd in the UDTRA race at I-85 Speedway in 1993!

Jan Godwin (car owner), Chuck Winkleman (Crew Chief), Kevin Godwin, David Overton, Bill Staniec, and Debbie Godwin have helped Daren in his racing program.

Darrell Waltrip is Daren's racing hero.
